Why does the purchase price of the software not include installation?
Sage Pastel are the developers and owners of Pastel software. Their strength is that they have a large network of certified consultants that support their software. The Software is purchase through the Resellers from Sage, but the installation is totally separate. Each company has its own needs and its own setups, so not every site will be the same, it is better to be billed as required, that way you have full control on what support you want from the reseller.

NOTIFICATION:
Windows XP Operating system is NO LONGER SUPPORTED.
Microsoft will no longer support Windows XP Operating System. This means Windows
XP users will not receive Microsoft Software Updates including security updates that
help protect your POS system from viruses, spyware and other malicious software.
If you are currently operating Windows XP Operating System, we recommend you
move to a supported operating system so you can continue operating in a secure
environment. In moving to a new operating system, if your POS system also runs in
Windows XP, we suggest you contact your primary support provider to discuss
compatibility of your POS system with the new operating system.

As with all Sage software, the time and development that has gone into Evolution is of a high standard. Sage Evolution is not just an accounting / financial system but also an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system and therefore focuses on information from a management perspective. From high stock movement needs to retail point of sale to manufacturing Sage Evolution has the capability to pull all the processors together.
What are ‘Add-On modules?
Add on modules are modules that are available over and above the ‘core’ module purchased. More popular Add-On’s include Job Costing, Retail POS, Bills of Materials, Manufacturing, Serial Number Tracking, Lot Tracking & Advanced Procurement. These modules integrate seamlessly into Sage Pastel & Evolution and help to optimise your business processes and reporting.
